Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly is expected to begin on a stormy note
as the State Government is likely to face tough time with Opposition Congress and BJP all set to corner the State Government on Polavaram and coal block issues on the first day of the Monsoon session of Assembly on Tuesday.
Apart from this the disrupted law and order situation in the State, irregular supply of seeds and fertilizers to farmers and Anganwadi wall collapse in Nayagarh are likely to be raised in the House by the Opposition Congress.
The Opposition BJP has also chalked out its strategy to put the State Government in duck making ash pond breach, Polavaram, hike in power tariff and coal block scam issues as the key matter of discussion.
The BJD on the other hand has identified a number of issues, including coalgate, price rise, neglect of the Centre in the railway sector and shortage of fertiliser to attack the Opposition.
The BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday had said that his government is ready to face all legislative questions from Opposition during the session.
The assembly will continue till September 7, 2012.
