Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of former chief justice of India Ranganath Misra was cremated at Swaragdwar in Puri on Friday.
The last rites were performed by his grandson Anand Mishra.
Earlier his body was brought to his Tulasipur residence at Cuttack. Several dignitaries, including Governor shri M C Bhandare, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Justice of Orissa High Court V Gopala Gowda, DGP Prakash Mishra and judges of the High Court deeply condoled Mishra’s death and paid rich tributes to the departed soul.
A guard of honour was also given to Mishra and his body was taken in a procession to the Orissa High Court premises. Hundreds of lawyers paid tributes to the departed soul.
