National Commission for Women (NCW) member Dr. Charu Walikhanna addressing the media after the meeting on FridayBhubaneswar: National Commission for Women (NCW) member Dr. Charu Walikhanna met Director General of Police, Shri Prakash Mishra on Friday and appeaed him to provide security to the family members of the deceased Pipili gangrape victim, Babina Behera, who died on June 21 this year after remaining in coma over a period of six months.
Dr. Walikhanna after meeting Shri Mishra said, “The victim’s family is receiving continuous threats from some influential political people in the region,I have appealed Shri Mishra regarding security to the family and he has assured the same.”
