Bhubaneswar: Suspended BJD leader Pyarimohan Mohapatra formally inaugurated the city office of the Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) at Sahid Nagar in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Former MLA Rajendra Panda has now joined the Morcha. Earlier ruling Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) General Secretary Jagneswar Babu had joined the Morcha on the day of its formation on September 30.

Babu was then suspended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for anti-party activities.

Meanwhile, as per sources, the Commissionerate police on Monday told the Morcha office bearers that a decision on the venue of the Morcha’s proposed October 28 rally would be taken on Tuesday.

It is noteworthy to mention that the OJM has sought police permission to hold a rally of around 50,000 people at the Lower PMG Square on October 28. It was on October 1, 2012 that OJM in an application had sought permission to hold the rally on October 28. However, the State Government is yet to decide on the matter.
