Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Wednesday sought report from the Collector of Kandhamal district and the Project Director of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) on the alleged misbehaviour and physical assault on some of the Sikhya Sahayak aspirants in Kandhamal on Tuesday.
Minister for School and Mass Education Shri Rabi Narayan Nanda said, “We have sought for a report on the incident. Appropriate action would be taken against the culprits on the basis of the report.”
It is noteworthy to mention that the District Education authorities had invited applications for 753 Siksha Sahayak posts. Out of which 237 were for Balliguda, 260 for Phulbani and 256 were for Tikabali.
However, some locals protesting the appointment of outsiders attacked some job aspirants with sticks who were there for the certificate verification for the post of Sikhya Sahayak.
