BJD to Hold Large Public Meeting in Berhampur on October 19

Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD is going to hold a large public meeting (mahasamavesh) in Berhampur on October 19 that coincides with suspended BJD MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra’s Bhubaneswar press meet on elaborate organizational plans of his newly formed outfit ‘Odisha Jana Morcha’.

The public meeting will be held at Khalikote autonomous college. Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to address the meeting.

Besides highlighting the development undertaken by the government, the meeting will also condemn the anti-people policies of the Centre, sources said.

Party sources said, as many as 50,000 supporters will attend the meeting. Meanwhile, the district administration will have a tough time as the student union election is also scheduled to be held on October 19.
