Another ‘Dengue’ Death in State, 56 More Test Positive

Bhubaneswar: Dengue has killed one more person in Odisha, taking the toll of the disease in the State over the last two and half months to five, an official said on Thursday. Meanwhile, as many as 56 more persons tested positive for dengue.

The latest death, which occurred on Thursday, was reported from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Medical College & Hospital at Burla in Sambalpur district.

The latest victim was a 36-year-old woman from Bolangir district, sources from the State Health Department said.

So far, 1,412 positive dengue cases have been reported in Odisha this year. More than half the people who tested positive for dengue were from the coastal Balasore (438) and Ganjam (413) districts.
