Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday reviewed the utilization of Local Area Development funds of the MLAs, MPs in a high level meeting with the senior officials and directed the officials to expedite the ongoing projects and to ensure its timely completion.
According to the meeting, Rs 1235.42 crore was released under the MLA LAD fund between 2010-11 to 2012-13 (till June) to take up as many as 2,11,116 projects in the state. So far Rs.1019 crore had been utilized and 1,82,991 projects were completed, while work on 22,114 projects under different stages of completion.
Similarly, Rs 1037.48 crore was released under the MP LAD fund for as many as 96,348 projects during 2010-11 to 2012-13 (till June). So far Rs.919.81 crore had been utilized and 89,356 projects were completed while 6039 projects are under construction.
During the same period Rs 154.55 crore was sanctioned to undertake the 6,969 projects under the Special Problem Fund (SPF). Till now Rs 107.60 crore has been utilised and 5173 projects have been completed, sources said.
