Bhubaneswar: In view of the students union poll today, adequate security arrangements have been made across the colleges and universities in the state, to ensure an incident-free poll.

Though the student elections hold equal significance for colleges in all districts, polls in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack always draw more attention.

Adequate security arrangements has been made in all the colleges in Cuttack for the smooth conduct of the election.

Similarly in Bhubaneswar, as many as seven platoons of police force were pressed into service at different colleges to avoid any untoward incident.

The voting process in different colleges started at 8 am and will continue till 2 pm. The result is scheduled to be declared today after counting the votes. The oath taking ceremony will be held on October 20.
