Bhubaneswar: BJD MLA Debasis Samantray on Saturday urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to expel suspended BJD leader and Rajya Sabha member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra from the party.

It is noteworthy to mention that, Mohapatra, who was Patnaik’s non-official advisor for over a decade was from the party for allegedly plotting a political coup to unseat Patnaik from power on May 29 when Patnaik was away in an official tour to Britain.

Earlier on September 30, Mohapatra had launched the Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM), a political forum to establish internal democracy in the State’s ruling party.

Mohapatra had also formally announced the formation of the OJM and unveiled the agenda of the organisation at the media conference in the State capital on October 19.

The forum has also announced a massive gathering of about 50,000 people in Bhubaneswar on October 28.
