Bhubaneswar: Striking back at suspended BJD leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra’s accusation of illegally continuing as BJD President, violating the party’s constitution, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said that some people are attempting to stab him in the back, destroy democracy and hinder development in the state.
“I’m not bothered who is with me or not so long as 4-crore people of Odisha are with me,” Patnaik said.
“I may or may not be in power, but I will continue to work for the people of the State. I will work to achieve the dreams of Biju Babu (former chief minister) till the end of my life,” Naveen said while addressing a public meeting at Khalikote Autonomous College ground in Berhampur.
Patnaik highlighting on several developmental projects undertaken by his Government, lashed out at the UPA Government at the Centre, that has failed to do justice to Odisha in mineral royalty and has also failed to develop the railway network in Odisha though it got about Rs 8000 crore revenue in the sector from the State.
Patnaik also accused the Centre of neglecting Odisha by depriving it of special packages as being given to states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
