Bhubaneswar: The number of people infected with dengue is on rise in Odisha, with more and people in the State testing positive for dengue with every passing day.
The State Government on Tuesday has confirmed that the total of those infected by Dengue in the State has reached 1,504 that was at 1,480 till Friday.
Inspite of remedial measures, the coastal district of Balasore has topped the list of number of dengue cases reported in the State. While the number of patients in Balasore stood at 438, Ganjam stood second with 414 cases.
So far, six persons have allegedly succumbed to the vector-borne disease.
It is noteworthy to mention that the prevalence rate of dengue this year is far more intense compared to last year.
