Bhubaneswar: Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM), a political forum to establish “internal democracy in the state’s ruling party” that was launched earlier this month by the suspended Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Pyari Mohan Mohapatra is busy with the preparations for its October 28 rally in Bhubaneswar, with the aim to attract around 50,000 workers from across the State.
Speaking on the October 28 meet, Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) spokesperson Jagneswar Babu on Wednesday informed that the rally will be held in two batches one from Ram Mandir square and the other from Sishu Bhawan square. Both the batches will then meet at Lower PMG square.
The Morcha is also having a plan to organise five conventions across the State in the next three months.
The BJD, on the other hand, is making all attempts to scuttle the rally. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is touring districts in a bid to neutralise any influence of Pyari on the workers. Moreover, all the ministers and senior leaders have also been asked to prevent party workers from their areas from attending the rally.
