road-accidentBhubaneswar: As many as seven people were killed and several others were injured in three separate road accidents in Odisha.

The first incident occured at the Keonjhar-Duburi road at Ukchabedpa village under Pandapada police station of Koenjhar district, where three people were killed, when a motorcycle collided with a tractor.

All the three died on the spot. Two of the three deceased were identified as Prasanta Kumar Das of Jagatsinghpur district and Gadadhar Rout from Jajpur district. Both Gadadhar and Prasant were actors in the Konark Opera Party.

The third victim was the driver of the tractor, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

In another incident two people were killed and ten others were injured, when a minibus overturned on the Jarada-Patrapur road near Haladiapadar under Jarada Police station of Ganjam district.

The deceased have been identified as K Mohan Rao and Abhimanyu Behera. Both of them died on the spot.

All the injured were rushed to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.

In another incident, two persons were killed in an accident at Kamakshyanagar in Dhenkanal, when the bike they were travelling on rammed into a tree, while they were returning from a Durga Puja pandal, sources said.
