The Rourkela plant, 515 km from here, produced 1.36 million tonnes of hot metal during April-October 2012, thereby utilising 116 percent of its capacity, an official statement from the company said Wednesday.
It produced 1.27 million tonnes of crude steel using about 115 percent of capacity and 1.18 million tonnes of saleable steel with capacity utilisation of 121 percent, the company said.
The company had produced 1.29 million tonnes of hot metal, 1.8 million tonnes of saleable steel and 1.21 million tonnes of total crude steel in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
