Search engine giant Google is celebrating Children’s Day today with an interesting doodle titled “A Prism of Multiplicity” depicting India’s diverse cultures, religions, languages, customs and traditions.
The doodle has been designed by Arun Kumar Yadav, a class IX student of Kendriya Vidyalaya from Chandigarh. Arun is the winner of this year’s Doodle 4 Google India 2012 contest.
The first letter in the doodle has the images from various sports like football, cricket, tennis and hockey. The second letter is denoted by a Kathakali mask, third has jewelleries, fourth is represented by a peacock, fifth showcases a farmer and the last letter depicts spices.
Google had invited school children in India, between the ages of 5 to 16 years, to send doodles with the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’. This year, Google had received 200,000 submissions.
Google had recently announced the list of shortlisted students for the contest that was judged by a two-member jury including cartoonist Ajit Ninan and Bollywood actor Boman Irani.
