Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Truck Owners’ Association has called for an indefinite strike from today.

Over 1 lakh truckers shall join the stir against the state government’s careless attitude in addressing their 7-point charter of demands, including fare hike.

The Association announced this after meeting State Transport and Commerce Minister Subrat Tarai.

The strike will affect supply of all essential commodities to the state starting from potato, onion to fish, egg and green chilies and also export of various products, including minerals, fertilizers and cement.
