Bhubaneswar:Centurion University of Technology and Management along with some poets and poetry lovers has organized the two day long Chandrabhaga poetry festival on 9th and 10th of January 2016.

Inaugurating the festival Padmashree Dr. Debi Prasanna Pattanayak mentioned that the words are building blocks of poetry writing and poetry is a journey from words to a meaningful expression of emotions, feelings and ideas in a powerful manner. Prof. Manoranjan Mohanty, the president of Chandrabhaga Poetry festival Committee in his speech emphasized on the need of organizing such a poetry festival and Prof Sukrita paulkumar, Dept. Eng, Delhi University discussed about Indian poetry and journey into poetic creations.

In different sessions the poetry festival witnessed poetry reading and discussions from poets like Jayanat Mohapatra, Sudeep sen and poets of India, China, France, and USA on themes like feminist poetry, poetry of freedom , resistance and peace. While the poetry festival had a special session to pay tribute to progressive poet Samarendra Nayak and poet Pankaj Singh it had a session for children to develop a poetic tradition. In the children poetry session along with Rohini Smita , of Sai International school students of Shovaniya shikshashram, Konark and students of Centurion University also joined for poetry reading. During the festival Poet Sudeep Sen’s Book “Ero Text” was also released by poet Jayant Mohapatra .The program was a successful one under the supervision of Prof. Chandrabhanu Pattanayak, Convenor, Chandrabhaga Poetry festival Committee and to read their poems poets like Basudev Sunani, Ashutosh Parida, Aparna Mohanty, Shailaj Rabi, kalipada panda, Bijay Upadhyay, Durgaprasad Panda, Kanaklata Mohakud, Savita Mishra, Chirashree Indrasingh , Amiya Pandav and many more were present in the festival.
