Aarya Awards – 2017


Bhubaneswar: The fifth edition of the Aarya Awards was organised by Parichay Foundation, a philanthropic organisation engaged in promoting Indian art and culture and bringing about economic and social upliftment for underprivileged in urban slums and rural parts of Odisha and New Delhi at a hotel here on Monday.

Nobel Peace Prize Winner and Child Rights Activist Shri Kailash Satyarthi graced the occassion as the chief guest and keynote speaker.

The awards were presented to 12 women achievers in different categories, who were selected from different parts of the country and abroad.

The awardees included Gargi Bhattacharya, (Social Service), Namita Nayak Chopra, (Entertainment), Dr. Sanghamitra Pati, (Medical Science and Research), Kasturi Ray, (Media), Puspanjali Rao, (Art and Culture), Rashmi Sahoo, (Entrepreneurs), Sarita Routray, (Sports), Debajani Mohanty, (Literature/Writers), Jyotshna Rani Dalai, Field of Trendsetters, Baisali Mohanty, (NROs – Odissi dancer cum choreographer), Manini Mishra, Emerging Talent (Entertainment) and Tech Mahindra Foundation, (CSR).
