Ramzan’s Last Friday Keeps Mosques Full


Bhubaneswar: The holy month of Ramzan that ends Saturday evening, witnessed its festivities reach the peak on the last Friday with the members of the Muslim community seen thronging to mosques in large numbers to offer special prayers.

Apart from this the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are seen overflowing with an array of special food items, too, for the Iftar, a community feast held every evening to break the fast. A unique spread of scrumptious dishes is served at the feast everyday.

Small shacks selling colourful vermicelli, dates, raisins, cashews have come up on the street sides in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
