Bhubaneswar: Elaborate security arrangements have been made by the for the 22nd Asian Athletics Championship scheduled to be held from July 5 and July 9 at Kalinga Stadium here.
As many as forty platoons of police personnel along with 400 officers will be deployed for the sports event. Apart from this, Anti-Terrorism Squad, jawans of Special Operation Group and Quick Response Team will also be deployed for smooth conduct of the event.
Besides, seventy-two closed circuit television cameras will be installed, including at four parking lots, each of the entry and exit gates and galleries, in the stadium and several LED monitors will be placed at various places to provide real-time traffic data.
It is noteworthy to mention that near about 800 athletes from 45 countries would participate in 42 sports events during the four-day sports extravaganza hosted by India for the third time.
