Light and Sound Show at Sun Temple in Konark


Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the much-awaited light and sound show at Sun Temple in Konark on Saturday.

There will be three shows every day with and accommodate 250 people and the cost will be included in the ticket price.

Tourists will be provided with headphones during ticket booking. Eight high-definition projectors with 3D projection mapping technology have been procured.

The light and sound shows will be of 35-minute duration that would use laser technology. The show depicts the popular legend of Dharmapada apart from the historical and religious significance of the temple constructed by King Narasimha Dev-1 in 1255 CE through laser technology.

The shows will be in English, Odia and Hindi, and visitors will have the choice of selecting the language at the time of buying tickets.
