Bhubaneswar: The first solo art exhibition of budding artist Rajnandini Mohapatra began at Suvadra Art Gallery here on Saturday.
The four-day exhibition was inaugurated by Commissioner of Police Y.B. Khurania.
It is noteworthy to mention that 19-year-old Rajnandini has no formal training in the field of art, but has cultivated the taste and honed her skills on her own since she was in school.
Her paintings have been showcased in many national level art exhibitions like the Kalaprabha Exhibition in Chandigarh and Krishin Group Art Exhibition in Delhi. She has also won and her paintings showcased at the KAA- All India Art Competition held in Hyderabad. As a child artist, she has also bagged the first place last year in Shilpi Divas, held every year in Bhubaneswar.
Among others, Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi former Secretary Rabi Narayan Rath and Secretary Tarakanta Parida were present on the occasion.
The exhibition shall remain open till October 10.
