Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to witness winter from November 19 as the low-pressure area formed off Odisha coast on the Bay of Bengal will wither away in 48 hours, paving the way for the arrival of the chilly northern wind, Met sources said.
The mercury is expected to drop instantly by two to three degrees Celsius to set the stage for the arrival of winter.
The state has been experiencing the depression-induced rainfall since November 13.
