Bhubaneswar: Book lovers in the capital city are having their favourite time of the year, as two book fairs are under way in the city.
Publishers from across the state and the country are taking part at the ongoing Ekamra Book Festival at Janata Maidan and Bhubaneswar Book Fair at the IDCO Exhibition Ground.
A large number of renowned publication houses, mainly from the state like Vidyapuri, Prakash Book Depot, Agradoot, Friends Publishers have set up their stalls at the Ekamra Book Festival.
At the Bhubaneswar Book Fair, apart from the books both fiction and non-fiction of various genres like medicine, science & technology, politics, astrology, religion, culture, art, education and sports, visitors get to try a hand at art, and also has an interactive space for writers and book lovers.
In addition, one can also find toy shops, stationery and eatery joints too at the fairs. Cultural programmes are also organised.
While the Ekamra Book Festival will conclude on November 20, the Bhubaneswar Book Fair will continue till November 22.
Booklovers here have more in store with the 18th Rajdhani Book Fair beginning on December 01 at the Exhibition Ground here. A variety of books will be available at the fair. The fair that will continue till December 12.
