Bhubaneswar: Winners of the 28th Odisha State Film Awards were announced by the Culture Department here on Monday.
This year, the Awards will be given under 27 categories.
Odia movie ‘Chini’ directed by Pradeep Bhol and produced by Bhabani Majhi and Snehalata Parida has been adjudged as best feature film and will receive the prestigious Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Samman.
The movie has also bagged awards in three other categories- best art director (Deben Amat), best child artiste (female) Tirtharupa Bohidar and best photography (Dillip Ray).
Veteran singer Pranab Pattnaik will get the prestigious Jayadev Award for his lifetime contribution to Odia film industry.
Samaresh Routray and Sangeeta Mohapatra popularly known as Lipi will receive the award in best actor and best actress categories for the films Namard and Mimansa respectively. The film Namard has also won the best director award for Ajay Rath.
The State tele awards were also announced on Monday. Sindurabindu has bagged the best tele serial award. Swetlana will get best actress award for ACP Nikita (Tarang) and Choudhry Satyabrat Das has been adjudged best actor for Sindurabindu.
