Bhubaneswar: A three-day fair, ‘Handicrafts Bazaar’, displaying craft works including wall hangings, paintings, household and various decorative items intricately crafted and made by differently-abled began at the Adivasi Exhibition Ground on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Sunday.
Various schools and organisations working for differently-abled children have taken part in the fair organised by the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, Government of Odisha.
A special kiosk has been set up by International visually-impaired cricketer Mohammad Jafar Iqbal where the success story of blind cricketers of the state has been displayed.
The fair also showcases devices, products and services that help persons with disabilities.
Honouring their determination, Chief Minister Naveen Patanik gave away awards to differently-abled persons.
