Bhubaneswar: The state government has launched a massive vaccination drive to combat the killer Japanese Encephalitis in the state, from November 27.
The 21-day vaccination campaign has been launched in 13 districts namely Balasore, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Khurda, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Puri, Rayagada, Sonepur and Sundargarh.
Students and other children will be vaccinated at around 2,869 government and aided high schools, 3,022 anganwadi centres, 332 sub-centres and 521 private schools.
It is noteworthy to mention that the killer disease had claimed more than 100 lives in Odisha last year.
