Bhubaneswar: A two-day cultural festival called ‘Antardrishti’ that marked the 92nd Birth Anniversary of Odissi Legend Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra began at Rabindra Mandap here on Monday.
The evening started with violin recital by Sarada Prasanna Das. He presented raag Madhubant in Bilambit Eke Taal and Madhya and Dhruta Teen Taal. Das captivated the audience with his rendition. He was accompanied on Tabla by Rupak Bhatacharjee.
This was followed by individual presentations in Odissi by Rahul Acharya and Sujata Mohapatra. A group dance by the artistes of Srjan was the concluding programme of the inaugural evening.
On the second evening, a Hindustani vocal recital will be presented by Kshitiprakash Mohapatra. He will be accompanied by Biswaranjan Nanda on the Tabla and by Arup Das on the Mardala.
This will be followed by a presentation in Odissi by Rajashri Praharaj and a duet by Leena Nanda and Bharati Mishra. A group presentation by Rudraksya Foundation will conclude the fest.
The event is orgainsed by Srjan in association of the GKCM Odissi Research Center.
