Bhubaneswar: People in large numbers visited the two-day annual flower show at Ekamra Kanan here that concluded on Sunday.
The flower show was organised by the Regional Plant Resource Centre in association with the Plant Lovers’ Association, Bhubaneswar.
A flower gate was the centre of attention at the event. Many were seen clicking selfies surrounded by the beautiful flowers.
More than 300 varieties of flowers were on show at the exhibition.
Varieties of flowering plants such as dahlia, rose, marigold, gerbera, zinnia, petunia, bougainvillea, poinsettia and chrysanthemum, among others, were displayed at the exhibition.
Apart from this, a Plant Bazar was also set up at the venue where over 40 nurseries displayed gardening equipment, pots, and saplings of fragrant flowers, plants and flower seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation machineries etc.
To encourage the institutions and individuals to grow flowers and develop gardens, the organisers also hosted a garden competition.
