Bhubaneswar: Blistering heat swept across Odisha on Monday, with the capital city recording a maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.
Nine other places recorded temperatures above 40 degree Celsius. Titlagarh and Bolangir recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius, while Hirakud, Jharsuguda and Talcher recorded 40.6 degree Celsius. Chandbali and Angul recorded 40.4 and 40.3 degree Celsius respectively.
Similarly, Malkangiri and Sambalpur registered temperatures of 40.2 and 40 degree Celsius respectively.
