Men’s Hockey World Cup Tickets Go on Sale


Bhubaneswar: The online sale of tickets for the upcoming Men’s Hockey world Cup to be held at Kalinga Stadium here in November started on Monday.

The general tickets for the event are priced at Rs 200 (East Stand), Rs 100 (North Stand) and Rs 100 (South Stand) for the pool and crossover matches. For the knockout matches, the tickets are priced at Rs 250 (East Stand), Rs 150 (North Stand) and Rs 150 (South Stand).

A total of 36 matches will be played during the tournament. The opening match will be played between Belgium and Canada on November 28. India will also take on South Africa on the inaugural day of the tournament. India will play its next two pool matches against Belgium and Canada on December 2 and 8 respectively.

This is the third time India is organizing the prestigious event. India had organized the event for the first time in 1982 in Bombay and in New Delhi in 2010.
