Odisha Celebrates “World Environment Day”


Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of “World Environment day”, a State level program has been organised by Forest and Environment department at Rabindra Mandap here on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik had delivered a speech in the State level event regarding plastic pollution as one of the major environmental challenges now a days and requested people to take pledge for protection and preservation of environment by reducing use of plastic.

He had also congratulated 161 Prakruti Mitra and 169 Prakruti Bandhu awardees for their contribution in the field of environment protection.

School children had prepared eco-models for State level Exhibition which was visited by Chief Minister and other Government officials.
