Odisha Remembers Former Chief Minister Late Nabakrushna Choudhury on Death Anniversary


Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik paid tribute to freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of Odisha, Late Nabakrushna Choudhury on the occasion of his 34th death anniversary, here on Sunday.

Shri Naveen Patnaik along with other Government officials offered floral tributes to the leader at his statue and recalled his great contribution towards Odisha’s development on the occasion in the Legislative Assembly premises here.

Late Nabakrushna Choudhury was the Chief Minister of Odisha from 1950 to 1956. Some of his great works include the first five year plan for Orissa (1950-1956), the removal of landlord System, the law to make Oriya language as official language, establishment of the agricultural university and Baji Rout hostel for the students etc.
