Bhubaneswar: Saffron-clad Kanwarias carrying pots full of sanctified water on their shoulders, were seen in a queue at Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar to offer prayers and seek blessings of Lord Shiva on the occasion of the first Monday of the Hindu Sacred Month of ‘Shravan’ today.

The devotees were seen making a serpentine queue outside the temple waiting for their turn to offer the water to the Lord.

The temple administration has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure hassle free darshan by the devotees.

As per the belief, men and women from all walks of life travel long distances carrying water to different Shiva shrines and fulfil their wishes.
