Secondary Data Centre of National Data Repository, STPI-ELITE in Bhubaneswar


Bhubaneswar: To facilitate and support entrepreneurs in the state, a secondary data centre (SDC) of National Data Repository (NDR) and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) – ELITE will be inaugurated at Gothapatna here on Friday by Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan in presence of Union minister for Electronics & IT and Law & Justice Ravi Sankar Prasad.

The secondary data centre which will store a vast array of data related to India’s natural resources including wells, well log data, well reports, core samples, seismic surveys, post stack seismi, field data/tapes, seismic reports, production data, geological maps and reports, license data and geological models, will be operated under disaster recovery centre in Noida.

The centre at Bhubaneswar will be a major help for geology students, researchers, academics as well as various companies to conduct data analytics and research based on data available on exploration and production of petroleum products in India.
