Four Sportspersons from Odisha to Represent India at Asian Games


Bhubaneswar: Three women athlete Dutee Chand, Jauna Murmu, Purnima Hembram and badminton player Rutuparna Panda will represent the country at the 18th Asian Games to start from August 18 in the Indonesian city of Jakarta.

A meeting to wish them success was organised by KIIT and KISS here on Sunday.

Dutee, who had represented the country in Rio Olympics, has qualified for 100m and 200m events. Jauna and Purnima will take part in 400m hurdles and heptathlon, respectively. Rutuparna is part of the Indian badminton squad.
