IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall across Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall triggered by a low pressure system over the northwest Bay of Bengal will lash the state, alerted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

The Met predicts rainfall will lash at least 18 districts, nine of which will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. The districts put on high alert are Puri, Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Jajpur.

Following the weather alert, Office of the Relief Commissioner today directed all the district collectors to remain alert.
