Bhubaneswar: With barely hours to go for the big event, Odisha is all set to host the 72nd Independence Day celebration.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would hoist the tricolor and take the ceremonial salute at the state level ceremony here in the morning tomorrow.
All preparations and security arrangements are in final stages. Full dress rehearsal was conducted at the Mahatma Gandhi road of Bhubaneswar on Monday, where state level celebration would be conducted.
Odisha Police, Fire Services, NDRF, Red Cross, NCC, teams from Dare Devils and students from colleges and schools participated in the dress rehearsal.
Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made to keep a strict vigil in and around the parade area ahead of the 72nd Independence Day.
As per sources, at least 30 platoons of police including will be deployed on the MG Marg to ensure safety and security of the people on the parade day.
Besides, CCTV cameras have also been installed at various strategic locations to monitor movement of general people during the mega event.
