Bhubaneswar: The first edition of ‘Parichaya’, a national level tribal exhibition, aimed at promoting tribal art, culture and lifestyle was inaugurated at the Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
The exhibition organised by the Saa Parichaya Promotions Private Limited has 68 stalls. Products like home decor items, pottery, lamps, dupattas, laakha bangles, bamboo bags, wind chimes, wall paintings and applique work are being exhibited and on sale by the tribes from Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir and several other places.
The exhibition also offers organic tribal products like turmeric, jhuna, honey, tribal medicines, tribal clothes, art works as well as food.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, tribal folk dance of various states of India and tribal documentary film festival is also being organised.
