Bhubaneswar: The normal life in Odisha has been severely affected as heavy rain continued to lash the state under the impact of cyclonic storm Titli and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), predicts heavy to very heavy rain at a few places, with extremely heavy rain at isolated slices, during the next 24 hours.
Heavy rains has also badly affected train services as well as road traffic in several areas of the state due to waterlogging.
Situation is critical in Ganjam, Gajapati and Balasore districts as several rivers have started to swell due to the incessant rain.
Similarly, the situation continues to remain grim in Puri district as several places in the district have remained waterlogged.
In the state capital, Bhubaneswar, waterlogging was seen at many places such as Acharya Vihar, Jaydev Vihar, Nayapalli, Paika Nagar, Bomikhal, Dumduma and Gouri Nagar.
The situation is equally bad in Cuttack where road traffic was severely affected as rain water inundated many places.
