Bhubaneswar: The fifth edition of the four-day India International Dance Festival commenced at Bhanja Kala Mandap, here, on Sunday amidst enthusiasm and feelings of festivity around dancers community from varied genre.
The theme of the Festival this year is “Celebrating Dance sans Divisions” that includes a mix of performances: Tribal, Folk, Classical, Martial & Contemporary dance forms.
The inaugural day witnessed performances in Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Sattreya, Odissi and Sambalpuri folk.

The event is being hosted since 2010 by Samskritiki, a cultural society of Odisha, with the aim to unite dancers based in various parts of the country and abroad and encourage them to discover the cultural roots of the dance tradition.
