Bhubaneswar: Jhoom India 2018, a unique national-level dance reality programme for orphans, persons with disabilities (PWDs) will be organized in the city between November 12 and 18.
The programme is being organised by Shantidham Foundation, a voluntary organization, in association with Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (SJEM), Govt. of India.
The event features contestants from all over India including New Delhi, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Chattishgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, North East (Manipur, Sikkim, Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland) & Odisha.
A Press Meet for the programme was organized in the city on Saturday.
“We expect 3000 participants. Shortlisted contestants will come here for a mega audition. The whole event including the grand finale will be held here. It will be aired on a national TV channel,” said Soubhagya Routray, Founder of Shantidham Foundation.
While the different rounds of the event starting from mega audition to grand finale will be conducted at GKCM Odissi Research Centre, the grand finale will be held on November 18 at Rabindra Mandap at 05:00 PM.
The winners and runners up will be awarded a trophy from eminent guests in the finale.
