Bhubaneswar: The 4th edition of the International Ramayana Festival was held at Rabindra Mandap, here, on Monday. The festival was organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
15 artists of the Thailand Ramayana Group performed in the festival. With their expressions of eyes, facial verbalism and body language, they made the Ramayana alive on the stage and left the viewers mesmerizing. The performance was a blend of music and incidents from the Ramayana, that is believed to have traveled to Southeast Asia in the sixth century AD.
The objective of the festival is to explore cultural diplomacy through the Hindu epic, which is popular in several countries.
