Open Air Sculpture Museum in Bhubaneswar


Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) in association with Artists Network Promoting Indian Culture (ANPIC) has been constructing an open air sculpture museum in five acres of land at Kalinga Nagar here.

Well-known artists from 14 countries namely Australia, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Malaysia, Sweden, China, England, Canada, Belgium, New Zealand, Spain, Ireland have congregated to create sculptures from Waste materials, which will be permanently displayed at the museum.

The artists are using rusted irons, waste steels and aluminum, old bicycles, tins, broken utensils and other scrap materials to make the sculptures.

Themed on ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’, the museum would serve as the only open-air Public Art Waste Material Sculpture Museum in Bhubaneswar, which would create awareness amongst people of Odisha on the environment, Climate Change and Reuse of Waste Materials etc.
