Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make people aware about safe disposal of plastic materials, Young Indians-Bhubaneswar Chapter in association with CIPET (Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology) is organizing a first ever night marathon titled “The CIPET Yi MO Bhubaneswar by Nite” in Bhubaneswar on January 18.
Individuals including men, women, boys, girls, veterans, and differently abled citizens will take active part in the event.
Littering, safe disposal of plastic materials, recycle and reuse of plastic materials are the central causes and the theme of the 5 km Run
that is organized on the outset of golden jubilee celebrations of CIPET, completing its 50 years of consistent commitment to the safer use of polymers.
The participants will be given a t-shirt made out of recycled plastic, a bag made out of organic material, Bib and refreshments.
Besides, each finisher will be provided with a finisher medal and e-certificate. Besides, attractive prize money will be given to 50 participants over seven categories.
The marathon will witness participation of Bollywood stars Mandira Bedi, Dino Morea and more than 50 Ollywood celebrities among others, sources said.
The marathon will start from Kalinga Stadium to Power House Square and then back to Kalinga Stadium.
