Bhubaneswar: The three-day annual Rajarani Music Festival, that showcases the glorious tradition of Indian classical music, will begin at the Rajarani Temple premises here from January 18 evening.
The three-day festival showcases stalwarts of three Indian classical music traditions, Carnatic, Hindustani and Odissi, both vocal and instrumental.
Each evening will have two presentations by different artists.
This time, the inaugural evening will feature Carnatic Vocal by Aruna Sairam & Group from Chennai followed by the performance of Flautist Pravin Godkhindi from Karnataka. The second evening will have Odissi vocal Sangeeta Panda & Group, Bhubaneswar.
Pt. Kumar Bose, Kolkata will perform Hindustani Tabla during the evening.
The closing evening will showcase Instrumental by Shivagni, Bhubaneswar and the grand finale to the festival will come through the performance of Hindustani Vocal by Shubha Mudgal, New Delhi.
The festival is being organised by the State Tourism Department in association with Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy and Odisha Tourism Development Corporation.
The festival will conclude on January 20.
