Bhubaneswar: The three-day ‘Mayurbhanj Utsav‘ organized by Mayurbhanj Cultural Association will be held at Utkal Mandap, Odisha Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and Sachivalaya Marg, here from January 18.

The festival, provides a platform to the talented young performers from the remote areas of Mayurbhanj. During the festival, the famous Chhau dance, Jhumuri dance and songs, folk dance would be presented apart from the shows by noted personalities from Odia film industry who hail from Mayurbhanj district.

The dexterity of diverse craft traditions Mayurbhanj is another hallmark of the festival that will display the metal craft, the stone ware of Khiching, the tassar textile products, pressed khali leaf, sabai grass and other forest products from Simlipal.

Apart from this, the visitors will have the opportunity to relish the taste of delicious mudhi and mansa – the unique culinary delight of Mayurbhanj. Similarly, for the vegetarians, Dala Khechudi, Ram Ruchuka curry and other mouth watering dishes from Mayurbhanj will also be available at the food kiosks.
