Bhubaneswar: Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) is back again this year with its 5th version of the annual internationally acclaimed event TEDxXIMB that is scheduled to be held on January 20.
With just a day to go for the event to commence, the students and the entire XIMB fraternity is very excited to be hosting the eminent speakers.
The event like its previous versions promises to be a medium to share the ideas that are expected to reflect and let the society, the nation, and the world evolve into a better place.
The theme for this year TEDxXIMB is “Chakravyuh: The inescapable formation”.
According to Mythology, the Chakravyuh or Padmavyuh is a multi-tier defensive formation used in the battle of Kurukshetra by Dronacharya. Abhimanyu, son of Arjun knew how to enter the formation, he had no idea how to get out.
It symbolizes the way we live life; not knowing what’s in store for us. It is by default that once we enter the Chakravyuh, then there is no other alternative rather than exploring different avenues or ways out. While volatility and uncertainty define the present scenario of the business world, Chakravyuh gives the hint of complexity and ambiguity in it. We look for to our speakers’ experiences giving us the support and motivation to find our own path through hurdles and problems.

Satish Dua – Public Service (Army), Divyanshu Damani – YouTuber, Social media influencer, Youth, Dr. Sruti Mohapatra – Inspirational, Social ServicePart-time motivational speaker, full-time crusader for equal rights for the differently-abled, Paul Walsh – Sports, Public Service, Megha Vishwanath – Media (CNBC TV18), Start-up, Sachin Das Burma – Advertising (World Hockey), Mr. A.L.
