Bhubaneswar: The pleasant weather with soothing cold in the evening at the verdant premises of the magnificent Rajarani temple bedecked with colourful lights and appliqué works synchronized with enchanting and sonorous music by great stalwarts attributed to a large gathering on the second day of Rajarani Music Festival.
The evening’s first programme was Odissi vocal by Sangita Panda. Her first presentation was Raganga Sate Ki Biti Eha Karibago written by Kabi Surya Baladev Rath followed by Natanga Bata Chhada Mohana Re Jibi Yamuna. Her next item was Geeta Govinda Sakhi he Kesi Mathana Mudaram followed by some classical Odia Bhajan. She was accompanied by Niranjan Sahoo in Mardala, Suramani Ramesh Ch. Das in Violin, Vocal support by Shruti Mishra and Prativa Das in Tanpura.
In the second phase renowned Tabla player Pandit Kumar Bose starting with Taala Baadya Kacheri set to Rag- Bachaspati and Tal- Aadital which was played through Tabla, Hindustani Pakhawaj and Sarangi. The programme was highly appreciated by the audiences who were deeply engrossed till the end.
